BEST FLUIDS TEXTBOOK EVER!!!

Just thinking about this textbook puts a smile on my face. From page one, this text is a work of pure didactic genius. Before I read this book, fluids was really hard and scary. Now, it's...still hard but less scary. I recommend you buy this book.

I took the author's class using this book as the text and went through 85% of it in detail. The content is well organized and developed into 37 chapters. There is absolutely no "fat" in the text. Chapters are relatively short so I felt accomplished whenever a chapter is done :-) Every example and problem is well chosen and balanced to cover a wide range of topics in transport phenomena and solution techniques, both analytical and numerical.
The code samples are in ANSI C but the author uses Matlab/Octave in the classroom due to its prototyping and visualization capabilities. (He often plays with the code and explains the results interactively, which I thought was very productive in teaching.) The price of the book is relatively high but it's worth buying and keeping.
